Application

1. In the plating industry for chromium plating, passivation and pickling.

2. As wood preservative ingredient (only for industrial application).

3. For production of chromium dioxide in production of audio, data and video tapes.

4. As oxidation agent in chemical synthesis. 

5.Widely used in chromium plating ,wood preservation, medicine, catalyst, pigment ,oxidizing agent, glass coloring and mordant of textile etc.

Chemical formula: Cro3 Dark red flake. Melting point:197°C

Specific gravity :2.7g/cm3.Strong oxidation, deliquesces readily in air, and highly soluble in water. Flammable in friction with organic compounds.

 

Storage

Store only in well closed containers at cool place. Store away from foodstuffs and easily oxidisable/ combustible material. Keep away from heat and sun, keep container closed when not in use.
